Meet The Hat Professor!

Are you a hat enthusiast? Fascinators... fedoras... boaters?

If you said yes to any of the above, this newsletter is for you. It is the place where we share, compare and celebrate the art of hat-wearing and appreciate the dare of donning a fabulous fascinator or styled couture headband. Taking our cue from the Duchesses of the British House of Windsor, we delight in showing the individualistic flair a head accessory brings to a social event, a wedding or tea party, or a house of worship. As Oscar Wilde said in 1894, “One should either be a work of art or wear one.” So, join the fun!

Topics in future posts will cover the history of hats in costumes, theatre, and fashion. We’ll look at women who wore and wear hats in movies, print, and royalty. We’ll research characters in literature, visual arts, and music who donned hats and fascinators as part of their stylish appeal.

Comments are welcome for topics and sharing of information is appreciated. All aboard for the hat movement of the century; we are making a comeback…
